How our Escape Room Challenge works…
Participants have to beat the clock and recover a critical contract from a secure safe within 60 minutes. The challenge requires clear communication, calm decision-making, coordination, and effective time management – all under pressure.
Our Escape Room Challenge can be delivered in-person or virtually. In the virtual version, one team-member shares their screen while others use QR codes to access puzzles and clues on their smartphones, enabling task-splitting, coordination, and efficient information sharing – reflecting the realities of high-functioning remote teams.
In the in-person version, teams gather around a single laptop, creating a lively, collaborative atmosphere that strengthens interpersonal communication and group problem-solving. Working closely together allows participants to discover hidden talents – from natural leaders to calm thinkers under pressure – deepening respect and understanding across a team.
Even though participants are setup into competing teams, they are energised by the friendly competitiveness of the experience, striving to complete the challenge faster and more effectively than their peers.
Grounded in Daniel Goleman’s Emotional Intelligence principles, the Escape Room Challenge helps participants understand how emotions shape behaviour, decision-making, and teamwork under pressure. It highlights the importance of trust, empathy, and clarity in moments where time is limited and expectations are high.
The Escape Room Challenge also explores leadership behaviours, client expectations in high-stress moments, and the significance of strong first impressions, and consistent professional presence. The experience facilitates a safe place to explore and practice ideas – where participants can reflect openly on what happened, why it happened, and how they can improve.
The result is an energising, insightful learning experience that offers deep understanding of how individuals perform, react, and collaborate when the pressure is on.
