The challenge

A leading European bank sought to bring its global graduate cohort together to build connections, engage with senior leadership, and gain a deep understanding of the bank’s strategic priorities. The programme needed to be both challenging and inspiringintroducing new hires to the bank’s strategy, business divisions, risk management culture, and core values in a way that was memorable and engaging.

Our solution

Working in close collaboration with the client, we designed a tailored orientation programme that combined immersive simulations with hands-on experiential activities. Each activity was crafted to reinforce the bank’s core themes and messages from senior management while fostering teamwork and engagement.

Key elements of the solution included…

A bespoke version of our powerful simulation, giving graduates practical insight into the bank’s clients, products, services, and performance drivers across business functions.

A high-energy activity highlighting the critical role of risk management in driving sustainable profitability.

An interactive exercise showcasing the vital contributions of technology and support teams to the bank’s strategic goals.

An immersive scenario where participants prepared for and conducted meetings with internal and external clients to hone customer-focused thinking.

A realistic challenge tasking graduates with identifying genuine cost efficiencies under pressure.

All activities were fully customised to align with the bank’s values, strategic imperatives, and performance metrics.

The impact

This orientation programme has been a cornerstone of the bank’s graduate onboarding for over 12 years, consistently earning exceptional feedback from participants and leadership alike. Its adaptability has been key to its longevity—content is updated annually to reflect shifts in the bank’s strategy, industry trends, and operational priorities.

The programme has been successfully delivered in multiple formats to meet evolving needs, including…

  • A single location, in-person delivery for a global audience
  • Virtual delivery across multiple regions
  • Regional, multi-location rollouts for in-person delivery.
