Cash Management Simulation

Step into the role of a CFO in a multinational and experience managing differing operating cycles, currencies and cash flows effectively

The Cash Management Simulation identifies the practical challenges faced by a CFO operating across different business models in multiple locations whilst ensuring idle cash balances, FX exposures, and interest costs are minimised. The simulation also explores some of the products and services that a transactional bank can provide to support this.

In our Cash Management Simulation…

Participants experience some of the competing cash demands in a complex business, by putting them into the shoes of a corporate treasurer trying to manage cash flows around a group engaged in different activities and utilising a cash transmission department.

The participant’s role is to manage the receipts, payments, foreign currency movements and other transactions within the group in order to maintain liquidity, maximise returns, minimise idle cash, and pay the largest possible domestic dividend at the end of each period.

The simulation explores:

Working capital challenges

Managing working capital cycles to ensure effective growth and cash flows

Coordinating different working capital cycles

Addressing the funding challenge of cycles operating in different ways and speeds, with differing financing needs

Managing cash flows to meet investor demands

Focussing on domestic dividend payments through proactive FX and cash flow management

Utilising central cash management activities

Coordinating group cash flow movements and FX balances through a single receipts and payments system

Identifying critical transactional management funding products

Exploiting the value added element of bank products and services in meeting complex cash management needs
