Induction events for Operations and technology graduates ?>

The project

A major global bank needed a high-impact, two-day programme for its operations and technology graduatesone that would deliver a concise but powerful introduction to the bank’s business divisions, products, and operational functions. The programme had to clearly demonstrate the strategic importance of support functions such as IT, risk, compliance, and finance in achieving the bank’s vision, driving innovation, enhancing customer service, and driving the bank’s performance.

Our solution

We designed and delivered a bespoke experiential event tailored specifically for incoming operations and technology professionals. The programme combined interactive activities, simulations, and collaborative challenges to ensure learning was engaging and practical.

Key elements included…

A focused overview of the bank’s core products and services

Interactive activities exploring key support functions such as IT, risk, compliance, and finance, showing how such functions underpin the bank’s performance and stability

Immersive simulations encouraging participants to identify opportunities for innovation, efficiency, and process improvement in the context of support functions

Team-based challenges designed to encourage collaboration, and build understanding across different support functions

Genuine banking scenarios designed to highlight the importance of strong control functions in protecting the bank’s reputation and long-term success.

The impact

Graduates left the programme with a clear understanding of the critical role operations and technology play in the bank’s success – and how their own contributions can and will contribute. Key outcomes included:

  • Stronger cross-functional relationships – Participants built early connections across functions, laying the foundation for more seamless collaboration.
  • Increased confidence and engagement – Graduates gained practical insights into the processes and frameworks in place at the bank.
  • Faster integration – By understanding the bank’s strategic priorities and operational setup, participants were ready to hit the ground running and make meaningful contributions.
  • Embedding the culture – The event not only boosted graduate confidence but also strengthened graduates understanding of the bank’s culture and the importance of innovation and operational excellence.
